Story
Haru Irei went to Odaiba’s Shiokase Park where the 1/1 RX-78-2 Gundam was erected. He bought HG 1/144 GPB-X80 Beginning Gundam from the merchandise section. His curiosity in Gundam led Haru to participated in Gunpla battle, a virtual simulation game where the players have their Gunpla models scanned and battle in team matches or solo with other players while piloting their Gunplas. Haru relied on his friend’s support, Rina Noyama, a big fan of Gunpla but lacks knowledge about the mobile suits, and Kenta Sakazaki, a regular Gunpla builder which gave him advice on Gunpla building.

After his encounter with Boris Schauer and his Hg 1/144 GPB-X38-30 Forever Gundam, Haru upgraded his Beginning Gundam before they (Haru, Rina and Kenta) enter the national Gunpla Battle tournament.

Gunpla Battle
Gunpla battle in this anime is different from the Gundam Build Fighters series. In here, the participants enter simulation cockpits that resemble the late-Universal Century mobile suits. The Gunpla model is placed on a scanning device resembling a Haro unit. The mobile suits statistics are relevant to the build quality of the Gunpla model. If the Gunpla is fully detailed and tuned up, it will perform much better in Gunpla battle than a straight build model only. The battle will begin in a simulated battlefield like a city or A Baoa Qu.

Characters
Haru Irei – a newbie Gunpla builder who owns GPB-X80 Beginning Gundam
Kenta Sakazaki – a friend who gives advice on Haru about Gunpla building

Manager – Koji Matsumoto’s manager who build his Gunpla for him
Tatsu Shimano – A Gunpla builder who is assigned to mentor Haru and Kenta in Gunpla Battle strategy. He resembles Allelujah Haptism of Gundam 00 where they both have an evil alter ego during battle
Boris Schauer – a senior Gunpla Meister who challenged Haru with his GPB-X78-30 Forever Gundam
Sam – Boris’ wingman in Gunpla Battle who pilots RX-79BD-1 Blue Destiny Unit 1
Diane Lee – Boris’ female wingman who pilots MS-18e Kämpfer
